In Theater Studies, as a drama class, students will learn all aspects of creating a live stage performance. They will have the opportunity to explore acting, playwriting, design, stage management, and directing. In the first semester, students will dive deep into character development and storytelling through monologues and scene work, all while building confidence and community through theater games and improvisational exercises. In the second semester, the drama class will produce a play for friends and family to enjoy. There will be additional opportunities for students to perform and develop their skills in other areas of production throughout the school year, including the RCA talent show. This is a great class for theater students of all skill levels.
