Monte Collins grew up in Evansville, In. He attended Lipscomb University graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in chemistry and a math minor. After college he attended Indiana University receiving an M.S. degree in analytical chemistry. After graduate school Mr. Collins worked at Lilly in Indianapolis as a analytical chemist. After 4 years working in the pharmaceutical industry, he left to work in a family business manufacturing preservation coatings.
In 2012 Mr. Collins moved to Nashville while still working in manufacturing as a regional manager and then then national product manager. During this time he reconnected with Lipscomb University serving as an adjunct professor teaching from 2014-2020.
In 2011, he helped establish Oasis, an after school ministry serving children in Baja California. At Oasis children from 4th grade through high school are provided tutoring, a meal, Bible classes, and a safe place to spend an afternoon. Oasis currently serves over 200 children.
Education has always been important of his life and a dream to share both subject matter and faith with future generations. He shares the vision of Renew Christian Academy “to prepare children for our world”.
