Marvin Raymond

Marvin Raymond worked over 36 years as an industrial Chemist developing analytical methods and new consumer products.  He served as Director of Research & Product Development.  For the past several years he has been providing consulting services on product development and patent issues.  Marvin has authored several technical publications and holds nine patents.  In 2009, he was asked to teach Chemistry to a group of home school students.  That was the beginning of teaching many students in the ensuing years in his home, at tutorial centers, or private schools.  In addition to Chemistry, this experience included teaching Physics and Plant Biology.  As a result, he developed a love for teaching high school students and encouraging them as they explored their interests.  Many have gone on to develop their own career paths in science, engineering, business, teaching, and politics.  He also views this work as a ministry to help teenagers in their faith journey.

Marvin holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and M.S. in Organic Chemistry from Colorado State University, where his research thesis was conducted in Biochemistry.  He and his wife, Diana, have three adult children who are married.  Marvin and Diana moved to middle Tennessee in 2024 to be closer to their son and his wife along with six of their nine grandchildren.
