This high school level course will allow students to learn the basic concepts of chemistry along with hands-on experiments for a deeper understanding. Students will gain knowledge of scientific measurements, matter and energy, structure of the atom, chemical reactions, acids and bases, and thermodynamics. They will also be introduced to the different areas of chemistry, such as inorganic, organic, and biochemistry. Experiments in the text will be supplemented with some additional experiments and demonstrations to make the class interesting and enjoyable.
