Pam Allyn says, “Reading is like breathing in, writing is like breathing out.” That is how important and interconnected the two disciplines are for students of all ages. Studies show that avid readers are better writers because it is modeled for them in countless ways. Our English Language Arts class will explore a myriad of types of literature to appreciate plot, character development, and themes, but also to enrich our own vocabulary and means of written expression. In addition, students will be encouraged to improve their verbal abilities while creatively sharing knowledge and views through projects. God has truly given us so much!
