This class will focus on novels, short stories, and poetry that have withstood the test of time. ACT/SAT practice will be incorporated in class. Students will be guided in writing a research paper in the Spring term.

- 1 ½ inch, 3-ring binder for notes
- 8 Binder dividers with pockets
- Loose leaf paper in binder (college-ruled)
- Black pens/pencils
- Yellow highlighters
- Red pens
- File folder (any color/labeled with student name for things I return)
- Spring semester: index cards for research paper
