The 6th grade English/Language Arts class will include a rigorous curriculum which focuses on the standard areas of reading, writing and communication in alignment with state standards through the lens of a biblical worldview.
Students will read a variety of literary genres such as poetry, novels, short stories, and non-fiction. Students will write narrative, informational/explanatory, and argument 5-paragraph essays which involve text-based evidence for student responses. Students will strengthen their vocabulary and continue to sharpen their grammatical skills so that they can become effective writers and speakers.
