This course is for RCA students who excel in reading, and taking this class within our hybrid model will prepare students for both the rigor and difficulty of a college course. According to the college board, “AP English Literature and Composition is an introductory college-level literary analysis course. Students cultivate their understanding of literature through reading and analyzing texts as they explore concepts like character, setting, structure, perspective, figurative language, and literary analysis in the context of literary works.” As we delve into the deeper issues within literature, students will not only master the techniques of literary analysis, but also practice interacting with these ideas as Christians who hold to ultimate Truth.The course will culminate with the AP Literature exam, and most colleges accept scores between 3-5 for credit.
