In this class, students will discover the rich historical and cultural background of the Bible, gaining a deeper understanding of its significance and message. Students will also gain a chronological view of biblical history, including insightful information about the cultures and geography of the ancient world. Additionally, students will explore the Bible’s impact on later cultures, societies, and religions. This class will also present the Bible as God’s living Word to guide their lives.

Throughout the class, students will engage in discussions, collaborate with peers, and have opportunities to express their thoughtful ideas.

Supplies Needed:

  • An NIV Bible (preferably a study Bible that includes maps)
  • An assortment of pens, pencils, and Bible highlighters
  • Dry erase lap/whiteboard (9×12 or so)
  • Dry-erase markers (any color) and eraser
  • Lab Fee: The lab fee is $15, which covers the cost of printing the class workbook provided by the teacher.
